Ouland Royale was the first venue I looked at. After meeting Wilja & seeing her place, I cancelled all the other appointments & booked the venue immediately. You can see the passion & care that she has put into the decor, food, & collection of unique crockery & cutlery. She has a critical eye for interior design & great taste…
“Extremely happy Bride, Groom, & guests”
What a beautiful setting and fascinating decor. As on our previous visit, Lenny our waiter was friendly and helpful – paying special attention to our little grandson. The food was excellent, the lamb wrap being huge & delicious plus the chicken salad also great value for money. Not just a restaurant but a delightful experience to wander around the goods…
“Another great return experience”
Went to Ouland for lunch, wonderful food, beautiful setting, excellent service and attention, a wonderful, relaxing, delicious lunch! Don’t miss this gem in Plettenberg Bay!
“Delicious meal, wonderful ambiance!”
A very interesting place to visit even before one gets to the delicious food. This is home cooking at its best. Fair size portions delivered by great smiling staff. Clearly locally sourced garden fresh produce goes into the unexpectedly extensive menue. Great for breakfast, lunch and teas.
“Farm barn chic”
I entertained my overseas visitors to brunch. The setting is absolutely gorgeous on a small farm and overlooks the Outeniqua mountains and ocean in Plettenberg Bay The friendly staff were extremely efficient and the meal was beautifully presented and really delicious. The restaurant in run by owner Wilja who prepares all meals herself. Her homemade bread is delicious and her cheese cake, and chocolate ganache are particularly yummy. There is also a gift shop, where you can purchase anything from homemade jams and rusks, lovely antiques as well as souvenirs to take home. Attached to the barn is an indigenous nursery. Definitely worth a visit.
“Baroque Style barn for breakfast, lunch and wedding functions”

“A Wonderful Experience”
What a beautiful, delightful, welcoming and stunning place. Not only is the decor out of this world, the freshly prepared food with garden picked herbs is a festival for the palette. Set in nature with an exquisite vista of the Outeniqua mountains, one is easily tempted to haul out a blanket and take a nap in the glorious sun!!
What a wonderful surprise to find an eclectic eatery offering breakfast and lunch on a farm. The large hall, filled with antiques and bric a brac, offers an alternative setting for an excellent light meal. Lenny’s service was prompt and friendly and we enjoyed the spectacular view over the valley. The abundant brunch, of 5 star quality, was very reasonably priced and then we lingered to enjoy the variety of hundreds of items on display. Truly a must for Plett visitors.
“We found a hidden gem.”
This relatively new addition to the many excellent restaurants in the Plettenberg Bay/Knysna area is a welcome plus. This countryside, very funky, but oh so classy venue just outside “Plett” has a small, well balanced menu which changes daily, dependant on what fresh ingredients the charismatic owner and chef, Wilja, can source. The food is well presented and of the highest standard. The staff are competent and pleasant and Lennox deserves special mention. We unreservedly recommend this venue for when you are in the area.
